The latest amusement in the Filipino community is the Skittles commercial in which Tagalog is spoken! This is going to be a hit in the Philippines when Mars Inc ever gets around to showing it in the country. Although it is already a hit on YouTube.
The blurb that accompanies this Skittles commercial on YouTube: Have you ever thought when you are being tailored to fit a new suit, each mirror brings a different perspective of your life? Well, this guy had one perspective where Skittles was very important. One perspective was African-American, the other perspective was Hispanic, and the other one was Asian, Filipino to be exact.
The language spoken by the man in the mirror is Tagalog, but the tailor is speaking Thai. The Filipino says "Nagugutom ako... di kakain ako..." (I'm hungry so I'm eating...)
Skittles, by the way, is owned by Mars Incorporated. Just FYI... Reflect the rainbow, taste the rainbow!
