Oldest Filipino University?

The oldest Filipino university is the University of Santo Tomas. It is a private Roman Catholic college run by the Order of Preachers in Manila. Founded in 1611, it has the oldest extant university charter not only in the Philippines, but throughout the whole of Asia proper.
