Happy Halloween in Tagalog!


There really is no Halloween in old Philippine traditions, although the arrival of foreigners definitely changed that. We owe it to the Spanish religious customs that the first day of November is a national holiday. It is a big family affair at the cemetery. The tombs are cleaned and people play cards. It's almost festive.
