Here are a few random Tagalog phrases you can use as translations for common English expressions:

Kamusta ang buhay? - How's life?
May bago ba? - What's new?
Wala naman - Nothing much.
Ikaw? Kamusta ka naman? - You? And how are you?

Anong pangalan mo? - What's your name?
Ang bait mo naman. - You are so kind.  

Anong ginagawa mo? - What are you doing?

Pagod na 'ko - I'm tired already.
Ang lamig - It's cold.
Ang init - It's hot.

Nasaan ka ba? - Where are you.
Halika rito. - Come here.
May ipapakita ako sa iyo. - I will show you something.

Ano ba ang gusto mo? - So what do you want?
Hindi ko alam - I don't know.

Salamat - Thank you.
Walang anuman- You're welcome.



PRONOUNS

Ako - Me/ I
Ikaw - You
Siya - Him/Her
Yun - That
Sila - Them
Kami - We/Us
Kayo - You guys.  
Pati / at / at saka - And


Sa iyo - Singular
Sa inyo - Plural

In many cases, even if you are talking to one person, it's better to use plural. 

When addressing elders, Filipino statements with the word "po" attached is used. 

Example: May ipapakita po ako sa inyo.
